As the Communications Manager at Local First, I implemented communication strategies across B2B and B2C channels, including digital, print, and radio. My work with Local First has built stronger brand recognition, garnered increased community support, and centered Local First as a local expert in La Plata County’s economic development.

My reoccurring responsibilities in this position cover a large range of communication and administrative related tasks. As Communications Manager for this small nonprofit I execute cross-platform social media schedules, design brand-relevant graphics, capture photo and video, manage and update our multiple Wordpress websites. I also successfully implement communication strategy in more traditional media spaces. As Communications Manager I write and organize a newspaper column for our local paper, cultivate relevant press lists, write press releases, host and organize a weekly radio talk show, The Be Local Radio Show.
